If you have unusual thinking, feel extremely scared (paranoid), are hallucinating, or haven’t been able to sleep for days or weeks, you may have psychosis. If you have recently taken drugs or started a new medication, you are at the highest risk.
Psychosis is a medical emergency. If you believe you have psychosis, you need to call 911 or go to your local emergency room. At the emergency room they can give you antipsychotics that will treat the psychosis.
